Ave Mulligan was born and raised in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. At the age of 40, Ave self-proclaimes her as the town's spinster. She lives a quiet life, working in her family's pharmacy and directing the town's annual production of "The Lonesome Pine". But her life totally changes once she learns a buried secret of her family.
