Crimson Tide

When ultranationalists threaten to launch nuclear missiles at the United States and Japan, the USS Alabama receives an uncertain command to launch its nuclear missiles, which is likely to be the first shot for starting Word War III! The tenseness soon arises as the sub's respectable commander Frank Ramsey and his elite executive officer Ron Hunter have inverse interpretations for the signal and end up on struggling each other for control of the sub.
