Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes

Shipwrecked on the coast of Africa, Lord Jack Clayton and his pregnant wife Lady Alice are stranded in the Africa's wild world. They build a house in a tree, and Alice gives birth to their son John, but both die in a chaos when a family of apes come across the house. Little John, saved from the same miserable fate, is adopted by a family of rather highly evolved apes, and raised as one of their family son, and John is Tarzan now. Twenty years later, Captaine Phillippe D'Arnot on a hunt in exotic Africa, is rescued by a strange man living among apes, leading to him D'Arnot discovering the tree house and the truth that this man is the direct descendant of the Earl of Greystoke, and thus plans to take him back to England.
