King Kong (2005)

Directed by Peter Jackson, this remake of the Hollywood classic features a film-making crew, who discover an untamed island with savage natives, ancient dinosaurs and especially a giant ape - later named Kong. This creature forms an uncommon relationship with young, beautiful Darrow, even in his last stand on top of the Empire State building.
