La famille Bélier

In the Bélier family, every member is deaf except the 16-year-old girl Laura, so she becomes the interpreter for the whole family, especially in running the family farm. When her teacher discovers her gift for singing and encourages Paula to participate in a prestigious singing contest in Paris, which promises her a good career for the future, but also means that she has to leave her family and take her first steps towards adulthood.
