Ladies in Lavender

After a severe storm hitting the coastal Cornwall in 1936, two aging sisters Ursula and Janet Widington awake to find and rescue Andrea - a young man who has been washed ashore and badly injured. Nursing him back to health, they gradually learn Andrea's origins, his talent for music as an accomplished violinist, and his desire to reach America's shore for realizing his dream. But everyone in the village is, as they always are, suspicious about strangers, especially when Andrea befriends with a beautiful Russian woman vacationing nearby. Ultimately, Ursula and Janet must make a choice between trying to keep their new charge for themselves or setting him free in the world.
