Tita, the youngest daughter in a family consisting of 3 daughters is forbidden to marry in order to take care of her aging mother. Therefore, inspite of the love between Tita and Pedro, her mother Elena refuses when Pedro proposes her and offers Pedro to marry Rosaura, Elena's sister instead. With the undead love in her heart, Tita has a magical ability of transfering her strong emotion to people who have her dishes.
