The film centers on Will Henry - a single graphic novelis and a professor in NYC. Will's life is turned upside down when he walks in on the mother of his children, and longtime girlfriend, Charlie, with their friend Gary in the birthday party of his five-year-old twin daughters, Clio and Colette. A year later, he is still single because Charlie has married Gary. Meanwhlie, his talented student Kat tries to set Will up with her accomplished mother Diane and he now must balance parenting his young twin daughters and a classroom full of students while dating with new lover.
