The oil rig where Dawson Cole works suddenly occurs an explosion and Dawson is nealy dead but luckily survive. Months later, he recovers and learns that his surrogate father, Tuck Hostetler has died and to carry out Tuck's final wishes, he returns home, where he meets Amanda Collier, his high school girlfriend. Now Amanda has got married and have a son, but her marriage is strained and both her and Dawson find that they still love each other.
