The Crazies ( Also Known As: Code Name: Trixie) is an Action Horror Sci-Fi film directed by George A. Romero and written by Paul McCollough (screenplay), George A. Romero (screenplay). It released on 16 March 1973 (USA). The film stars Lane Carroll, Will MacMillan, Harold Wayne Jones. The military attempts to contain a manmade combat virus that causes death and permanent insanity in those infected, as it overtakes a small Pennsylvania town.
