The Westerner

The drifter Gary Cooper is accused of stealing a horse and is brought before the redoubtable rapscallion Judge Roy Bean, who runs the town of Vinegaroon, Texas. To save himself from hanging, Gary has to pretend that he is intimately acquainted with actress Lily Langtry, whom Bean worships from afar.
