Returning in this animated series is Twilight Sparkle, an unicorn in Equestria, who has an important new role to play in the Summer Sun Celebration as she is now a Princess. In the mean time, the Everfree Forest is threatening to take over all of Equestria, forcing Princess Twilight and her friends to bring their Elements to the Tree of Harmony.
