The Counterfeiters ( Die Fälscher) is a Crime Drama War film directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky and written by Adolf Burger (book), Stefan Ruzowitzky (screenplay). It released on 22 March 2007 (Germany). The film stars Karl Markovics, August Diehl, Devid Striesow. The story of the Operation Bernhard, the largest counterfeiting operation in history, carried out by Germany during WWII.
