In season 2, Carol quickly finds her wrong decision of going along with Phil on his new journey from Tuscon, and Phil must look for Carol after leaving her in a gas station in Oklahoma. Phil can come back to the group, but he has to face up with aftermaths of what he did in Tuscon. Moreover, he gets a surgery due to diagnosis of appendicitis, while Melissa has to handle problems after Todd refuses her proposal and Mike decides to return to the Earth.
