A psychopath nicknamed Buffalo Bill is the prime target of FBI after he murders and skin his female victims. Believing that an also psychopath prisoner may provide clues for catching Buffalo Bill, they assign FBI Academy's top student Clarice Starling to interview him - psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter who is notorious for brilliance, brutal murders and diabolical canniba. Lecter agrees to help Starling only if she shares in details of her own complicated personal past. As the bond progresses, Starling is thrust into the confrontation with not only the darkest part of her own, but also an evil so powerful that she may not gather the courage or strength to stand it!
